HOW DOES IPL WORK?

The IPL energy is absorbed by the sebaceous glands, reducing sebum production and destroying acne-forming bacteria with little or no discomfort.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT?

• You can expect a mild sunburn-like sensation, possible accompanied by some minor swelling. It lasts no more than 24 hours. ZULU recommends the application of Environ moisture gel or ice packs should discomfort occur.
• There may be an initial flare-up of acne, which will fade after 2-3 weeks. This is not a side-effect, but an indication of effective treatment.
• A reduction in the number of lesions and the prevention of new lesion formation can be expected following your treatment course
• Effective acne treatment will require a minimum of 8 treatments 2 weeks apart OR if used with levulan, a minimum of 3 treatments 1 month apart.
